our story

In the vibrant, diverse communities of Marin County, a grassroots movement is rapidly expanding – one that is fortifying young people to rise above the influence of substance abuse and reclaim their futures. Rooted in the belief that all people deserve access to the tools and support they need to thrive, ATI brings a solid commitment to early intervention.
At the heart of this work are the young people themselves. Through peer-to-peer mentorship and immersive civic engagement, ATI is cultivating a powerful coalition of young activists. They are speaking out for populations disproportionately impacted by the war on drugs, demanding policy change, and rewriting the narratives that have marginalized their communities for too long.
But ATI isn't content to stay within the four walls of a classroom or community center. Our boots-on-the-ground outreach to the unhoused population is delivering vital resources and one-on-one support. It's a holistic, community-centered approach that is sparking transformative change - not just in the lives of individual participants, but in the very fabric of Marin County itself.

our mission
Our mission is to embolden the next generation of leaders and change-makers. Through comprehensive programming including trauma-informed care, substance use prevention, leadership development, civic engagement, and mental health support, we provide youth the knowledge, skills, and platform to tackle pressing issues and drive positive change in their communities.
our VISION
We envision a world where every young person has the opportunity and resources to thrive and lead by example. By offering a nurturing, drug-free space for personal growth, mentorship and community-building, we inspire young people to use their voices, challenge social inequity, and shape the future they wish to see.
our impact
At the heart of our approach is a transformative model of peer-to-peer mentorship. We first equip our young participants with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become effective youth leaders and advocates. Then, we inspire them to share their learnings and uplift their fellow classmates and community members through impactful mentorship programs.
One young leader, one neighborhood, one initiative at a time, our impact ripples outward, reversing the trends that weigh down today’s youth.
